Biolayer Interferometry: Protein–RNA Interactions
نویسندگان
چکیده
RNA-binding proteins often contain multiple domains connected by short flexible linkers. This domain arrangement allows the protein to bind RNA with greater affinity and specificity than would be possible individual sometimes remodel its structure. It is therefore important understand how modules interact because it modular nature of these which specifies their biological function. chapter concerned use biolayer interferometry study protein–RNA interactions.

Kinetic Titration Series with Biolayer Interferometry
Biolayer interferometry is a method to analyze protein interactions in real-time. In this study, we illustrate the usefulness to quantitatively analyze high affinity protein ligand interactions employing a kinetic titration series for characterizing the interactions between two pairs of interaction patterns, in particular immunoglobulin G and protein G B1 as well as scFv IC16 and amyloid beta (...
متن کاملPotency determination of inactivated H7 influenza vaccines using monoclonal antibody‐based ELISA and biolayer interferometry assays
BACKGROUND The single radial immunodiffusion (SRID) assay, the accepted method for determining potency of inactivated influenza vaccines, measures an immunogenic form of the influenza hemagglutinin. Nevertheless, alternative methods for measuring vaccine potency have been explored to address some of the weaknesses of the SRID assay, including limited sensitivity and the requirement for large am...
متن کاملRapid Biolayer Interferometry Measurements of Urinary CXCL9 to Detect Cellular Infiltrates Noninvasively After Kidney Transplantation
Introduction Measuring the chemokine CXCL9 in urine by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) can diagnose acute cellular rejection (ACR) noninvasively after kidney transplantation, but the required 12- to 24-hour turnaround time is not ideal for rapid, clinical decision-making. Methods We developed a biolayer interferometry (BLI)-based assay to rapidly measure urinary CXCL9 in <1 hour. We...
متن کاملBiolayer interferometry predicts ELISA performance of monoclonal antibody pairs for Plasmodium falciparum histidine-rich protein 2
Predicting antibody pair performance in a sandwich format streamlines development of antibody-based diagnostics and laboratory research tools, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and lateral flow immunoassays (LFAs). We have evaluated panels of monoclonal antibodies against the malarial parasite biomarker Plasmodium falciparum histidine rich protein 2 (HRP2), including 9 new mon...
متن کاملPion interferometry with pion-source-medium interactions.
An extended pion source, which can be temporarily created by a high energy nuclear collision, will also absorb and distort the outgoing pions. We discuss how this effect alters the interferometric pattern of the two-pion momentum correlation function. In particular, we show that the two-pion correlation function decreases rapidly when the opening angle between the pions increases. The opening-a...
